朝日新聞　2015年1月30日（夕刊）、沢木耕太郎による映画評「銀の街から」である。
実は、今日、横浜のジャック＆ベティで映画を観てから、映画評を読んだ次第。
原題は、“Still Life”。

Still Life is a 2013 drama film written and directed by Uberto Pasolini.The film was presented at the 70th Venice Film Festival , where it won the award for Best Director in the category "Orizzonti".It also received the Black Pearl award (the highest award) at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival for "its humanity, empathy, and grace in treating grief, solitude, and death"; and for his performance, Eddie Marsan won the Best British Actor award at the 2014 Edinburgh International Film Festival.

　映画冒頭で、原題“Still Life”を知った時、邦題『おみおくりの作法』との違和感を強く感じたが、沢木氏もこの邦題にはクレームを述べてくる。しかしながら、映画としては秀逸。CGなど使わなくても良い映画はいくらでも創れるのだという、あたりまえのことを再認識。

これは、普通の人が普通のこととして行っている行為が、いつの間にか私たちには特別な人が行う特別な行為のように見えてくる、という不思議な物語である。

間違いなく、九十分という短い時間の中に、静謐だが豊穣な世界が詰まっていた。

映画は、イギリス映画らしい映画。監督は、あの「フルモンティ」のプロデューサ。
映画のラストシーンは、ワイルダー『わが町』の芝居が思いだされた。
